The past four years have seen a significant rise of local fashion brands incorporating traditional Filipino textiles into their clothes and accessories. Both designers and entrepreneurs recognize the beauty and charm of what is our own, and know it is deserving of appreciation. These businesses not only aim to promote one of the unique crafts of our country, but also support artisans whose main income is from weaving.
HIBLA has collaborated with three local fashion brands in the production of this lookbook. Namely:
Enable the Brand
Para sa Diwa
Tela de Iloko
Enable the Brand
Based in Quezon City, Enable the Brand features Inabel as the main draw of their original designs. The brand takes pride in directly sourcing Inabel from a longstanding community of Ilocano weavers. They are also partners with local tailors and packaging makers. Their Manuela top and Amianan wide-leg pants incorporate the Binakol pattern and come in a variety of colors.

Para sa Diwa
Established in 2017 with deep roots in La Union, Para sa Diwa began as a business that sells all-natural personal care products. They have since then ventured into making clothes, often collaborating with other local brands and creatives who place importance in cultural identity and are concerned with eco-consciousness. The brand incorporates Inabel to their tops, pants, beach towels, and face masks.
Tela de Iloko
Run by four Thomasian graduates, Tela de Iloko is fully dedicated to showcasing the beauty and versatility of Inabel textiles through contemporary bags and wallets. All materials of their products are locally sourced and produced, as they aim to support Ilocano craftsmen and small enterprises.
Each of the brands’ enthusiasm and contributions to our project has been of great encouragement in the production of our lookbook. Their wide reach and appeal to consumers from the city are proof that Inabel is able to seamlessly blend with modern fashion. Follow the pages of our partners to join in on its appreciation!
